Let me introduce myself...

This all started because I love to read blogs. The voyeur in me loves that little glimpse that people give you into their lives. I love their humor, their trials and tribulations, and trying to figure out what makes them, them.

Then I thought, I want a blog too! Ya, ya, I know I’m so behind the blogging times, but what the hell. My biggest stumbling block was, what to blog about? I wanted a theme, a particular path to go down, I wanted to talk about something that I was interested in, that I could actually do, and that others might find interesting. And then one day, while at the mall it came to me! Clothes! Shopping for clothes with a twist…

So here we are.

I never thought I was particularly adept at fashion. I’m hard to fit, trying on clothes is a CHORE, and I’d much rather be riding a bike, running, eating, or plopped in front of my computer playing games then I would be shopping… until recently that is. I’m not sure what happened but almost overnight I started dressing more like a girl and less like a tomboy! My sweats now have to actually fit. I no longer rush out for my daily Starbucks fix without first at least taking a quick look in the mirror, pulling the hat down lower and throwing sunglasses on. Yes, believe it or not, I actually LIKE looking presentable now

Shocking isn’t it.

Now don’t get me wrong, I still like my jeans, sweats, sweatshirts and tennis shoes. I like flannel pajamas in the winter. Only now I also like dresses, heels, skirts, and looking pretty! But I’m paying a price. Looking good costs money! It can actually get quite expensive. Who knew?

Some people might even argue that fashion is too expensive, which brings me to the reason for this blog. I’m challenging myself to dress for less. I think I can buy nice looking clothes that I (and maybe even others) would actually wear and do it all for under $20.00 a piece … maybe less. I’m starting a little higher than I had originally planned, because I’m just not sure that my original concept of $5.00 was doable. I still may try, but now I’ve got some wiggle room. Kinda like wearing my fat jeans, ya know?

So be prepared for some really cool outfits and more than likely a few “OHMYGAWDNOSHEDIDNOTWEARTHAT” moments now and then too!

Let the good times roll!!
