Normally I love my job. I really do, but lately it's been rough and I'm going thru a funk.  I come into work and all  I want to do is sit in my cube, with the door closed (yes our cubes have doors) and just surf the web, buy things, and mope. I don't want to be here.  I'm having a hard time helping others because lately it seems, it's a one huge friggin' one way street.  I can give out help, I can stay late to help, I do others jobs not because I have to, but because they're overwhelmed and need the assistance.  However it's not reciprocated.  Last week I had numerous 12 hours days and you know what happened when I asked for help?  Nada! Nothing. Zzzzzip. Zilch. Zero.

Adding insult to injury is that It seems everyone has to hold whatever work related information close to their chest lately. This information is no longer shared. And it's a shame because we all benefit from sharing information, especially in the industry I'm in.   That said,   I can't really blame the people that are doing this because it's a direct byproduct of managment and the layoffs, paycuts, and total and complete job insecurity that we've been experiencing the last year or so.  However, not sharing information doesn't give the person doing the withholding power.  It doesn't mean job security.  It just breeds mistrust and prohibits or hinders others from doing their job.

Thank you internet. I feel better getting THAT off my chest.  And now that I've vented, it's time for a little retail therapy.   I've declared Tuesdays  "Tuesday's 25!" and from here on out I will bring you at least 25 items for under $25.00.    Check out these finds!
